Happy Birthday to Isaiah....

Hopefully this is not the last birthday that we get to celebrate with our friends the carrillos!! I am trying, I really am to look at the positive side of change but I am just not so sure that there is a positive. Anyhow, we love our little guys and have enjoyed and will always remember the bbq's, birthday parties, and long nights. and I will never forget when I first met Alex, and he walked into my house and asked me what everything cost me... HA HA HA HA Love ya man!!

Just couldn't get enough!

t

Sierra and Aaliyah are so excited about our new house. Sierra thinks we are getting a dog right away, even though I tell her like every day that we are going to wait a while before we get a dog. She named this mystery dog-- Valdez Alaska weaver, and we will call it Dezzy... I told her we still need to run all names by daddy. Anyhow, the girls got to walk through our house today and they (especially sierra) just could not get enough of the place. You could almost see her little brain whirling with thoughts, and ideas. Where things will go and who's spot will be who's. It feel so good that we will finally be able to provide a home for our children. I pray that everything will fall into place, and that things that need to be taken care of will get taken care of.

Grandma with the kids.....

Although we were wishing that Micah Crabtree was able to join us for our photo shoot and so that grandma could have all her grandkids in one place we still took this opportunity to capture the moment with grandma.

Daily lives!

Well with the series of crazy days which have included a wide spectrum of weather anywhere from rain, snow, hail, sun, and blue skies every day is a new surprising day. Me and the girls spend are days usually doing something... ha ha sounds pretty silly but we usually don't plan to be busy and somehow we are everyday. We have been walking with a group of moms the last two weeks which is really fun, as long as the girls ride in the stroller and not walk.
Sierra is growing up fast, I have been noticing how old and beautiful she is getting. She is so smart, sometimes too smart for her own good. It makes me wonder what her personality will be, and makes me pray that she grows to be a strong woman who honors the lord with her life, and beliefs in her self. That she would have a great self esteem, and would choose the best man that God has for her. There are so many things that I wish i could do during the day, and I don't do with her, or her sister and now her brother.
Aaliyah is a cutie, although she does follow in her sisters foot steps looking up to her, and doing some of her bad behavior she still has her own little personality. sometimes she will walk up to me and give me a big kiss or if I or anyone is crying she will offer her special purple blankie. This always amazes me because its her comfort blankie, and to offer it to someone else who is hurting shows me what a sweet heart she has.
Raising children is such a huge responsibility, hopefully I do right by this kiddos. God help me!!

Oh the times...

I know that change is a natural part of life, but I don't think that I will ever get used to it especially when it involves losing those we care about. Its not actual loss that I am talking about in this case, no one is dying, but people are moving. Many times when people move they say we will keep in touch, but its not the same. Things change, new friendships are made and lives mature. We experienced this when Jesse's best friend Benjamin moved to Seattle, sure we still see each other from time to time but we really miss(Jesse misses more I guess) the ability to see each other on a daily basis if that was the desire, to play video games, have deep conversations, that friendship. Now were are faced with two couples we are really close with leaving Spokane.
Our friends Ryan and Kelly coffee have been apart of our lives since we moved to Spokane, Ryan has lead our married life group and we have developed and cultivated a relationship with them. There has been some hard times, times when we didn't always see eye to eye but during those times were moments we took to grow, to work those things out and in that we became better friends. We really loved having them in our lives, and hope to maintain contact.
Then there is our other friends, Alex and Alicia who's duty to our Country calls him to move. We don't know where the military will move them, and it could be anywhere. These friends have also been with us for almost 4 years. We have been there for the births of each of our last two children, and have served together at our church. We have laughed together, and cried together. Talked about our marriages, and our children. WE will miss you guys, and will treasure each moment we have until you leave.
These are dark, sad, transitional times for us!

Moments in time...

As a mother there are many moments good, bad, and indifferent that define who and what we are. Today, while I was driving to costco, I had one of those moments. Benjamin was making a strange noise, sorta like a "neah" sound I instantly knew that something was wrong, and luckily I was in a parking lot and able to pull over. He was totally blue, and not breathing, chocking on something ! Although I was freaking out, you'd never know it. At least the girls had no idea, they were whinning about their movie not being on.. Anyhow, remembering CPR for infants who are choking, I got him breathing, and than rushed him to the hospital. They did a series of tests, and an X-ray and determined that no harm done, and that he was fine. However, as we were walking out the doctor gave me a funny look, and asked me if there were any complications with ben when he was born. I told him that his right arm was up by his face, so he was sorta squished. He showed me the x-ray and pointed out a fracture on his clavicle that he probably got during birth. Honestly, Its a good thing this news was given to me today, and not two weeks ago. My hormones seem to be a little better right now, but I still feel terrible that he already has a broken bone, and I didn't even know. maybe thats why he was crying so hard at birth, and needed oxygen, or why he won't nurse on one side, or why he gets squirmy and cries when I change him..... What a day, I am just glad he made a noise or he might be dead right now, and this would be a very different post.

Artists at work...

Grandpa, and grandma played domino's with the girls, and during this specific moment they were creating a scenic landscape. They had already made a heart, and perhaps a few other things but at this moment they were making a tree, with leaves, grass and a white picket fence, as well as a sun. The girls couldn't wait to mess the picture up and start over again much to grandpa's disappointment, because he just want to look at the lovely creation for a minute or two.

Ready,set, GO!

Sierra and Grandpa Weaver were playing with a volleyball at our stoneridge retreat this year, and she would get a real serious look on her face, study the ball, kick of her feet, and ready her arms in a running position so that she could go as fast as she could. She looked as if her arms, and feet were moving really fast, and yet she wasn't.( it was funny) anyhow, when she caught the ball, she would slide on both knees. She was very proud of this new stunt.

Loving You, baby.....

Sweet baby boy blue! My girl friend heather made me my third diaper cake, and it was perfectly cute.

My Other girlfriend Amy made that baby cake, wow so much talent in my group. This baby shower was so fun, and it was good to spend time with people I love celebrating the birth of our baby boy.

Love does not do justice what I feel about my baby. I wish I could explain the feeling a newborn brings, I love it!! Thanks everyone for coming and sharing some time with me and my baby.

OK, so this side of the blog has been slightly red headed for the last little bit, so I thought I would throw up a couple duplicates of the pics on the other site as well as the announcement that I just finished.
p.s. whoopsie, i had the practice announcement with Sierra's birthday up on accident. The new one has the correct info.

All quiet on the Good Question front

So, as you can see, we kinda slipped off for a day or two there on this side of the Weaver pond. That's ok though, things are still going strong over at the daily blog. Check it out or a few new pics.

Back to old and busted

So, as you can see, we have switched back to a crappy vanilla default blogger theme. As much as I loved the old one, there were some css issues with it that were buggin me, and I didn't really want to figure out the problem. So for now this is what you get. I am looking for a new one so let me know if you have seen any good ones. Oh by the way....that little thing at the bottom of every post that says "0 comments" means you can click there to leave a comment about that post...revolutionary I know.

Take your baby to home day

That's right, we get to take little Benjamin home today. While we were still in the hospital still, Melinie snapped a few quick pictures of him while she was getting him ready to go. As you could see on the one a day site, this is one of my favorite pictures of him thus far.

Everything went pretty smoothly getting all packed up and moving out of our room. The only exception was me making the transpo (hospital lingo for the person who has to wheel everyone around in wheel chairs) lady wait for me due to a long line at the pharmacy. Here's Melinie looking as cute as ever, a proud momma waiting to be swept away in her chariot.

Hmmm, I think we may be developing a bit of a theme here. Well, tough for you. If you don't like looking at pictures of the cutest little boy in the world, you may want to go elsewhere for a little while! So, today is go home day, and we couldn't be happier. We get to take our new little guy to see his new home.
Sierra was pretty happy to see us come home with her new baby brother in tow.

My Baby Boy

Well, here is the first official outfit (sorry mom.) We wanted to get some pictures taken, and of course the growing families people wanted to come by and get some pictures taken. We will get a link to those whenever they are up.
Well, we all know how grandparents are, so I thought I would post a couple more of the pics from yesterday that I didn't have time to post. Up there is Grandma and Grandpa Weaver, and down there is Grandma Crabtree.
And of course, a couple more pictures of the star of the show. Baby Ben.
posin' for the ladies.

It's a Boy!!! Benjamin Samuel Weaver

Please welcome to the world on Mr. Benjamin Samuel Weaver! That's right, my family is now a five member exclusive club with two girls and one boy. Just like my family. I honestly couldn't be prouder, and I was sooo excited to tell everyone that we had a boy! We hadn't found out what the baby was going to be, so it was a great surprise for everybody. I even sent out a text message to several people that gave the birth stats, but didn't say if it was a boy or a girl on purpose, just so I could call and tell them in person.

Ok, so as for those birthing stats. Melinie's labor officially began at 9:00am this morning January 18, 2007, and she delivered our baby boy at 1:06 PM. Which by the way Steve I believe that has me closest on our pool ;^) So he was absolutely perfect, with no major complications during or after delivery. He is 8 lbs. 1 oz, and 20 inches.

When I saw him come out I yelled IT'S A BOY!! and Melinie started crying pretty good, which of course made me start crying. I was so excited to go down to the waiting room and tell our family that was there (My mom and dad, Luke and Pam) the great news. Thanks for being there for our special day, we really appreciate it. We look forward to introducing everyone to our new family member soon, but for now you just have to see him here! If you are reading this on A Resolution, pop on over to Weaver Family Central for more pics.

Ok, this is coming to you very late for me, and after hours of searching for an active hotspot that isn't locked down or weak sauce, I finally found SpokaneHotZone that I could connect to in the cafeteria at SHMC. Thank you , thank you 180 networks and everyone else providing internet in downtown Spokane.
